This area is reserved for accessing advanced features of the IMS. Currently, it
offers the ability to zoom to features, print formatted maps, and buffer parcels.
Zoom to Feature - This function allows you to seelcta feature from a drop-down
list in a new window and zoom to the map to the afeature.
Print Map - This function allows you to print an 8.5 x 11 landscape oriented
map. When selected, a new options window should appear that allows you to
select things such as locator map, legend, title, etc. After hitting the
print map button, a new map will draw in that the browser window. Print
this map by selecting File | Print from the browser menu. Verify that the
page layout is set to "landscape" and page margins are set to
0.5" to ensure the highest quality print.
Buffer Parcels - Buffering is the process of selecting all the features within a
given distance of a given feature. In this case, buffering allows the user
to select all the parcels within a specified distance of a parcel (up to 1,000
ft.). This option only appears if an active parcel is selected in the
map. The active parcel is identified as bright yellow and usually has a
red triangle in it.
